1989-1990. The political world changes as communist dictatorships collapse one after the other. Yet in France, the country of human rights, a xenophobic wave sweeps the nation. Laetitia, a young French woman of African descent who lives in the south of France, enters high school and meets Stephane-the-skinhead, a white classmate who believes in racial purity. Against her will, Laetitia finds herself attracted to that young man she has nothing in common with. Laetitia and Stephane manage to establish gradually a fragile, sincere and moving relationship with each other.
